July 2022

Forget what you know about American Coffee Houses. From the exterior the transportation begins.

Life is better when it's interesting.

The Brief.

Café Intermezzo, a European style Coffee House, was founded by Brian Olson in 1979 and now has three Atlanta locations and one in Nashville.

The Elevation.

Forget what you know about American Coffee Houses. From the exterior the transportation begins. Step inside and enter another era in European finery. The classic small bistro tables are accented with ratan chairs, elaborate chandeliers, artwork, heavy wood accents, brass fixtures, tin ceiling tiles, dim lighting and music to match. A true sensory experience ensues.

Gorgeous cappuccino machines bedeck the coffee bar and accent glass cases filled with selections from their rotating 50+ pastries ready for indulging. Sit inside or on the covered patio that opens to the street. In either area, expect elegance and opulence amidst a true European-inspired atmosphere where the coffeehouse represents the antithesis of work. Linger. Indulge, Savor.

Go for the Ambiance.

Whether stopping in for a brief interlude with coffee, a delectable dessert or breakfast, lunch or a full dinner, expect a sumptuous experience no matter the bill total.

Go for the Coffee.

With myriad coffee options on the menu, it may be surprising to find a most luxurious of offerings in the House Coffee Service. Delivered in a pewter coffee pot for the table, black coffee never seemed so lavish.

Go for the Pastries.

—And the food. Melt in your mouth pastries are equally matched with the kitchen creations. It makes for an ultimate multiple trip destination.

BONUS: Go for the Bathroom.

What? Yep, the bathroom. As lavishly decorated as the dining areas, the real treat is the European language lessons that pipe through the bathrooms.

Menu Highlights

The 50+ rotating Pastries. The Coffee. Italian Bruschetta. Spinach & Artichoke Dip (with fresh made bread). Crepes. Tortellini. Full American Breakfasts. Croque-Monsieur. Egg Croissant.
