Early in my health journey I found knowing where to find healthy produce and products was just as important as knowing what to look for in the first place. Having spent hours and months on research and filled with the knowledge of what I should be eating for optimal health, I was unsure of where to find them. I certainly did not realize I could have such high quality, organic meats, fish, produce and pantry items delivered straight to my home!
That knowledge swirled with overwhelm and even frustration as confusion set in with choosing the brands or stores. Not to mention, the time consuming process of searching through the aisles and labels each time I went to put something in my cart. I just wanted to eat better so I could feel better and be healthier.

In addition to the overwhelm of locating the brands was the actual shopping for them. I was finding some stores had the best of this while others the best of that. This meant hours spent driving from store to store, the actual shopping and check-out process at each store plus the putting away once I returned home.
And, this is shopping on a normal, regular basis. It does not take into account the added stress if one finds themselves sick or unable to leave the house or caught on a deadline with work or away from home helping a sick loved one. What then?

My Criteria for Choosing an In-Store or Delivery Source
#1 Quality
My first criteria was quality. I knew what I wanted to find and set out to find sources with the highest quality of those items. I spent hours and months looking for the right brands. What I came to find was many of these were found across different markets and not necessarily at my local grocer.
#2 Convenience
I love to venture to my local farmer’s market and choose fresh foods straight from local farmers. Unfortunately that is not a reality every day or even week for me. I, like so many of us today, are busy in our lives and time is precious.
Convenience is essential for me, but not at the cost of my health.
Too many times though we are choosing convenience over quality these days and it is simply killing us. My #1 Pick for Organic. Pantry & Perishable. Home Delivery
This service has made a tremendous impact on my life. I order most all of my pantry items (including my organic picks) from Amazon Prime. And, most of my perishable items through Amazon Fresh (and have the order delivered straight to my front door, even if I'm not home and within a 2 hour window). I find organic foods cheaper than their non-organic counterparts from local grocery stores and services. And, there is no delivery fee—Fresh is included with your Prime membership.
Yes, I love to buy local from Farmer's Markets, but my go-to source is Amazon Fresh for the every day convenience, price and quality. I was hesitant to order groceries online at first, but have been beyond impressed with the product and service.
If Amazon Fresh is not available in your area, I strongly suggest at least orienting yourself with home delivery of groceries from a local provider. The convenience is amazing and even if you decide not to use your local service ongoing, at least you will be familiar with the service should the need arise (such as a sickness or time restraint, etc).
