The Brief.
St. Germain French Bakery & Cafe, located at The Interlock, opened in 2021 by husband wife team, Heather and Mathieu Jourdan-Gassin. It is their second location with a Ponce City Market stall opening in 2016.
The Elevation.
With a nod to neighborhood bakeries and cafes from the streets of France, St. Germain seduces with its sidewalk seating complete with ratan chairs and bistro tables. Inside, find a casual cafe atmosphere where the pâtisserie is the star. Delectable French pastries, macarons, and croissants. Coffee, tea, artisan chocolates, quiches and sandwiches. In true American style, plenty of seating in comfy chairs, at the coffee bar and spacious tables beckon for a longer stay with laptops in hand.

Delish. The coffee is from Cafe Richard, a premiere French roaster. But, it’s the treats that accompany it that make it interesting. Don’t overlook those two wrapped surprises on your saucer.

Myriad Mouse Cakes, 14 different Tarts, Eclairs, Napoleon, Opera, Carrot Cake, Cheesecake, Tiramisu, 15 flavors of Macarons, Croissants, Danishes. Plus sandwiches and quiche for lunch.

There's plenty of seating and the line moves fast making any time as good as the next.
Monday - Friday: 8:30 am - 9:00 pm
Saturday - Sunday: 8:30 am - 11:00 pm

A ‘sidewalk” area has lovely french-inspired bistro tables with chairs and the spacious interior has seating hubs at the coffee bar, at small and larger tables, and in a corner area outfitted with large leather chairs.
